Scenario: EV

No engine sound. No exhaust. All torque, all tech, all controversy.

What to Observe First

During Walkaround (first 5 minutes)
  • Find the charging port — location, type (CCS/CHAdeMO/Tesla)
  • Check the frunk (front trunk) — does it have one?
  • Note the tire specs — EVs eat tires faster due to torque + weight
  • Look for regenerative braking controls (paddles, menu, one-pedal mode)
  • Check the infotainment — range estimate, battery %, charging curve info
  • Note the weight (EVs are heavy — it affects everything)

Film Priority

Must-Film EV Shots
  • Charging port opening — the reveal. Many EVs have cool mechanisms.
  • Charging screen/UI — show range, battery %, charging speed. It’s the new engine bay.
  • Acceleration reaction — if you can drive it, film your face during hard acceleration.
  • One-pedal driving demo — show yourself lifting off and slowing without braking.
  • Silence test — listen... then 3 seconds of nothing. That is the content.
  • Drive mode switch — show the screen/mode changing. If personality shifts, demonstrate it.

Talking Points

[Power] horsepower. [Torque] Nm. Available from zero. Zero. Seconds.

Instant torque — it's the EV superpower. Emphasize 'from zero'.

[Brand] claims [X] km range. Real-world, with AC, in traffic, expect [Y] km.

Honest range — WLTP vs real. This is the most important thing to get right.

Charging: [X] kW max DC. 10 to 80% in about [Y] minutes. That's one episode of [popular show].

Charging relatable. Make the time tangible.

Common Traps

Verdict Template

"An EV in 2026 isn't about whether it works. It's about whether it works for you. [X] km real range, [Y] charging, and the experience feels [adjective]. If the infrastructure supports your area, this is [verdict]."
